I've worked with Mike whilst recording in two separate bands, the guy is slick and effective every time. Some of the best aspects of recording with him:- He is completely in control of his equipment and software, he'll track every member efficiently and clearly.- The setup in the studio is bang on, with the recording room designed perfectly. He will get the best sound out of you.- He is innovative and up-front about the recording. There have been times when he's made suggestions during recording that make certain aspects of the track stand out or even improved a melody, riff, etc. It's also a testament to his ability and passion for creating and recording music.
I've recorded at FoxHound Studios twice. The recording process is relaxing and enjoyable and takes place in a large and fully kitted out recording room. Mike is a pro and often has suggestions to enhance our songs. The final product is outstanding and the band are really happy with it! Would definitely recommend.
Have work with Mike on a number of different projects. Not only does he engineer a fantastic quality record, but as a producer he really brings out the best in an artist. The songs Ive recorded sound so much better with direction and production from Mike. Couldnt recommend enough!
FoxHound is a studio I use regularly when practicing with both my covers and originals band. I have used a multitude of practice spaces over the years but none have compared when it comes to room acoustics and sound bleed between rooms. When you are in your room the sound proofing has been so well done that you can't hear other bands and they can't hear you, which when writing music or trying to learn covers is a god send.As for recording Mike has recorded and produced some superb music. The Live room is great and the control room is comfortable and large to cater for a full band recording session with ease.
